The Centre for Minerals Research has a strong research focus with an active contingent of postgraduate students (MSc, PhD). We are generally always looking for new, talented postgraduate students, especially those who are South African. Before making a formal application for postgraduate study to the University, please email Dr Megan Becker with copies of your CV, academic transcripts and names of two referees. She will advise you further on the process, and also put you in touch with potential research supervisors in your field of interest.

Funding: The Centre provides a limited number of CMR bursaries from which students need to pay their University tuition fees and own living expenses. Students are however, expected to seek funding from other sources over and above the standard CMR bursary.
